He is survived by: his wife Charlotte; his children, Max Eugene Pennell of Bunnell, FL, Teddy Pennell (Sherry) of Boone, Ricky Pennell (Kathy) of Fleetwood, Steven Pennell of Jefferson, Shirley Harrison (Billy) of Blowing Rock and Jo Ann Dobes (Willie) of Jacksonville, FL; and his siblings, Mary Alice Isaacs of Zionville and Johnny Pennell of Boone. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
