It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lela Jean Shore Smith of Jefferson, North Carolina, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Shore and Ruth Lemar Shore; and her siblings, Betty Petticord, Phillip Shore, Robert Shore, Tommy Shore, James Shore and Frankie Shore.
She is survived by: her husband Jefferson Easley Smith, Jr.; her siblings, Virginia Johnson, Rita Gregory and Ted Shore; and her nieces, Shelia George and Lori Shepherd. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Social distancing guidelines will be observed, and facial coverings are required.
