He is survived by: his wife Nell Atwood Howell; his children, David Howell (Sheila) of Lansing, Jimmy Howell (Christine) of Crumpler and Janet Schoppe (Donald) of Greensboro; and his sisters, Virginia Barton, Wanda Shore and Rosalee St. He is also survived by Three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
