She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Snow and Bertha Snow; and her brother Trenton. She is survived by: her brother Clinton; her former husband Frank Marshall Stokes of Walnut Cove, NC; her husband Kenneth Howard McChesney; her sons, Bill and John; her grandchildren, Meredith Gianotti, Marshall Stokes and Marco Varela Stokes; and her pet Appalachian. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren along with numerous nephews and nieces.
