Herbert Ray Vannoy Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Ray Vannoy of Jefferson, North Carolina, who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Ray Vannoy and Maude Nannie Cole Vannoy; his sister Rita Vannoy Taylor; and his brother-in-law Milt Goetz. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Dancy Vannoy; his sisters, Jo Anne North Goetz of Winston-Salem and Peggy Hawkins (Paul) of Winston-Salem; his brother-in-law Dennis Taylor of Winston-Salem; his niece Heather Busher (Sean); his great-niece Mirabelle Busher of Burnsville; and his half-brothers, Rick Vannoy of Jefferson and Freddie Vannoy of Hendersonville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel (3470 U. S. Hwy 221 N, Jefferson, NC 28640). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family respectfully requests no flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to Obids Baptist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
