He is survived by: his wife Willeen Sheets Fortner; his children, Ginger Ledford (Mike) of Charlotte, Abner Fortner III (Kandy) of Lansing and Rickey Fortner of Charlotte; his sister Nancy Tonetti of New Jersey; his grandchildren, Brian Ledford and Erica Ledford; and his children, Ashe Shrine Club, Box and Jefferson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
