He is survived by: his sister Susan Weid (Dietmar); his wife Mary Elaine Modlin Cooper of Jamesville, NC; his daughters, Annie Cooper Bishop (Rory) of Ft. Thompson, Katie Cooper Broyles (David) of Elizabeth City, NC and Emilie Cooper Trueblood (Joshua) of Elizabeth City, NC; his siblings, Donna Rawls (Tony) of Greenville, NC and James Cooper (Mary) of Plymouth, NC; and his granddaughters, Eleanor Bishop, Hattie Broyles and Dottie Trueblood.
