He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Larmond Bilbro, Sr. and Mary Swaim Bilbro; his wife Martha Estelle Jones; his siblings, Mildred S. Ewing, W. L. Bilbro Jr., Charles H. Bilbro and Robert E. Bilbro; his sisters-in-law, Nell Jones Bilbro, Mabel Jones Latta and Marie B. Bilbro; and his nephew Walter Mark Bilbro.

He is survived by: his children, Thomas "Tom" Bilbro (Beverly) of Charlotte, NC, David "Dave" Bilbro (Sandra) of Harrisburg, NC and Sue "Susie" Bilbro Pappas (John) of Apex, NC; his grandchildren, Jon Bilbro (Rona), Joe Bilbro (Amelia), Andrew Pappas (Jessie), Elizabeth Hill (Brandon), Leslie Barto (Paul), Michael Bilbro (Kristen), Maya, Maren, Silas, Noah, Madolyn, Lilian, Levi, Ethan, Lucas, Elin, Sheppard, Cohen, Evangeline, Scarlett and Hailey; his sister Anne Bilbro Wright (Doug); and his brother-in-law William Jones (Lib).
