With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Stuart Burton Fountain (Jamestown, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Roy Fountain and Hilda Burton Fountain; and his sister Eleanor. He is survived by: his wife Carol Smith Fountain; his brothers, Robert R. Fountain, Jr. and John N.; his children, Kathryn Fountain Newfont (Dann), David Burton Fountain (Lucy) and Timothy Stuart Fountain (Sarah); and his grandchildren, Destin, Riah Newfont, Mary Stuart, Caroline, Margaret Fountain, Grayson, Chandler and Sam Fountain.

In lieu of flowers, Dr. Fountain requested that contributions be made to the UNC-CH School of Dentistry (Dr. Stuart B. Fountain Fund for Endodontic Excellence), Guilford Technical Community College (Dr. Stuart and Carol Fountain Dental Education Fund), Rotary International Fund or another charitable organization of the donor's preference.
