He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Anderson Padgett and Gladys Ketner Padgett; his wife Elizabeth Smith Padgett (Ebie); his children, Sidney Carl Padgett Jr. (Brenda), William Thomas Padgett (Diane), Elizabeth Padgett Reep (Bryan) and Julia Padgett Jones (Martin); his grandchildren, Kelley Padgett Branan (Lee), Sara Jayne Padgett, Avery Reep Kanupp (Mack), Emily Suzannah Reep, Allison Lenior Reep, Reagan Elizabeth Padgett, Annie Kathryn Padgett, Martin Whitfield Jones and William Cooper Jones; and his great grandchildren, Peyton Elizabeth Branan, Grayson Andrew Branan and Michael Walter Kanupp.
