He was predeceased by: his father Roscoe Talmadge Layton Jr.; and his uncle Robert McKendry Layton. He is survived by: his wife Dianne; his sons, James Miles Layton (Nicole) and Adam Christopher Layton; his grandchildren, Samantha, Robert, Joseph, Logan and London; his brother David Layton (Charlotte); his nephew David, Jr. (Helle) of Summerfield; his great-nephew Jonathan; and his great-niece Christina.
