He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard Allison and Fallena Moore Allison; his wife Edith Cochran Allison; his son Johnny Carruthers Allison, Jr.; and his siblings, James Richard Allison, Jr, Virginia Allison Sawyers, Alice Allison Saunders, Violet Allison Kennon, Pansy Allison Applebee and Annie Allison.
He is survived by: his daughter June Allison Thacker of Durham, NC; his siblings, Nellie Lee Pulliam of Reidsville, NC and David Samuel Allison (Diane) of Lexington, NC; his grandchildren, Jason Ryan Thacker of Columbia, SC, John Alexander Thacker (Varisa) of Chantilly, VA, Corinne Allison Kersh (Cory) of Acworth, GA and Rachel Allison of Acworth, GA; his children, Jana Grace, Kenneth Bo-Hsiang, Sophia Claire and Olivia Quinn Kersh; his nephews, Michael Todd Allison and William Todd Allison; and his great-nephews, Michael Ray Allison and Charles Marion Sanford. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
