It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iris Ruth Bowman of Jamestown, North Carolina, born in High Point, North Carolina, who passed away on June 18, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence W. Cecil and Eliza Shore Cecil; and her siblings, Melvin, Clarence, Jr. (Lavonne), Ray (Geraldine), Mary Jones (Robert) and Nancy Priddy (Loie).
She is survived by: her children, James Bowman, Jr. (Jill) and Nancy Gant (Arthur); her brother Bobby Cecil (Edith); and her grandchildren, Katy Gant, Mary Hudson (Kris), Molly Everhart (Alex) and Alex Bowman (Caroline). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Memorials should be directed to English Road Baptist Church.
