With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Alston of Jamestown, North Carolina, born in Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away on October 18, 2022 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his father Joe Kent Alston; his wife Patricia Jones Alston; his daughter Krista Dawn Alston; and his brothers, Richard Alston, Robert Alston and John "Buddy" Alston.

He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Nicole Lauer; his sisters, Carol Leonard and Teri Masten; and his granddaughters, Emmy Kate and Laiken Elizabeth Miller. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
