He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie James Burroughs and Eva Andrews Burroughs Joyce; his son David; his grandchildren, Zac, Dan, Stephen, Edward, Will, Sarah, Noah, Nathaniel and Audrey-Clare; his great grandchildren, Zander, Charles, Sibley and Ruthie; and his siblings, James (Jim) and Lucy.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Buchanan Burch Burroughs; his sons, Cyrus and Aubrey; his stepson Eric Burch (Jill); his children, Gail Brooks (John), Steve (Matthew), Jerry (Beth) and Brannon (Sandra); and his sister Frances Pass (Garland).
