It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Arnold Owenby of Jamestown, North Carolina, born in Bryson City, North Carolina, who passed away on May 26, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Grant and Caroline Grant; and his wives, Bonnie Owenby and Marie Holden Morgan. He is survived by: his children, Sharon Weaver of Jamestown and Bryan Owenby (Libby) of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Macie Owenby, Colton Weaver (Holly) and Charlie Weaver; his stepchildren, Richard Morgan (Barbara) of Bryson City and Darlene Dillard (Allen) of Pleasant Garden; and his siblings, Wanda Allred (Leon) of Denton, Gail Deaton of Asheboro, Carole Gellis of Asheboro and Colin Lewis (Ruby) of Manchester, Tennessee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
