She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Sexton and Ethel Kirby Sexton; her husband Rufus George Thomas; her daughters, Joanie Thomas and Laura Thomas Ramirez; her sisters, Dorothy Rodgers and Lois Opal Farmer; and also Harold Sexton, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Danny Thomas (Evelyn) of Aberdeen, MD, Shelby Bolster (Nelson) of Jacksonville and Linda Lee Patterson (Rick) of Riverview, FL; her adoptive daughter Ruth Sissy Sykes of Jacksonville; and her sister Phyllis Monk Campbell (Bud) of Conowingo, MD.
