She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dail and Lena Hatcher Dail. She is survived by: her husband James Russell Gurganus; her children, Ashley Gurganus (Shelly) of Jacksonville, Sarah Lane (Adam) of Wilmington and Rachel Shewbridge (Shane) of Asheville; her grandchildren, Norah Maresh, Jackson Gurganus, Cash Maresh, Mollee Gurganus, Zane Lane, Wiley Shewbridge, Bodie Lane, Benton Lane and Rowan Shewbridge; her siblings, Glen Dail (Kendale) of Richlands and Beverly Riggs (Charles) of Richlands; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Gurganus of Jacksonville and Michael Gurganus (Tammy). She is also survived by several extended family and close friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Thursday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
