She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Kellum and Mary Collins Kellum Riggs; her husband Sam Garland Bright; and her sisters, Annette Bright and Lonell Jones.

She is survived by: her children, Sammy Bright (Lori), Rhonda Meeks and Kenneth Bright (Tracy); her sister Bertha Wiggins; her grandchildren, Sophia Deshotel, Dallas Meeks, Kaila Bright, Rodney Meeks and Samuel Bright; and her great grandchildren, Johnathan, Nathan, Hadley, Holland and Hudson.
