He was predeceased by: his former wife Nancy Salisbury Taylor; and his parents, Darrell Burnell Taylor and Betty Lou Osborne Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Luwana "Laura" Taylor; his children, Chris Taylor (Tonya) of Maysville, Rebecca Combs of Jacksonville and Mary Taylor of Raleigh; his granddaughter Christa Taylor Howard (Austin) of Holly Ridge; and his siblings, Connie Salisbury (Roger), Carol Legg (Tom), Terrie Shamblin (Russell), Rick Taylor (Caroline) and Robin Taylor (Robin) of West Virginia.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (110 Montford Landing Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
