She was predeceased by: her parents, Major Maurice S. Updegrave and Eleanor Hitch Updegrave. She is survived by: her brother Ken Updegrave (Barbara) of Chapel Hill, NC; her nephews, Ken Updegrave Jr. (Ginger) of Wilson, NC and Stuart Updegrave of Barcelona; her uncle Bobby Hitch of Jacksonville; her great-nephews, Turner and Erik Updegrave; and also Amelia Updegrave. She is also survived by cousins and their children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Thursday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
