She was predeceased by: her parents, Gallus Heit and Anna Hillsman Heit; her husband David George Couser; and her sister Wilma Ethun Heit. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth "Liz" Couser of Jacksonville, NC and Joseph "Joe" Couser (Dawn) of St Louis, Missouri; her brother Donald Heit of Chicago; and her nieces and nephews, Ann Oleneck, Tammy Powell, Andrew Aubrey, Brad Heit and Chris Heit.
