She is survived by: her husband Otis Young; her children, Sheldon Kaye Smith (Kane Hobbs), Sheila Faye Fisher (Joey), Buddy Brown, Sandy Gaskins (Raymond Banks), Steven Young and Scott Young; her grandchildren, Jeana, Jason, Jody, Jami, Anthony, Lexie, Jordan, Kaley, Dustin, Ashton, Courtney and Kylie; and her sisters, Lucy Carrington, Ludy Rochelle and Lucille Smith. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
A reception was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
