He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Taylor and Louise Peedin Futrell; and his brother Henry Futrell (Pete). He is survived by: his wife Nelda Boswell Futrell; his son Dr. Stephen C. Futrell (Tammy) of Richlands; his grandchildren, Austin Futrell (Emilee) of Durham and Chandler Futrell (Gabe) of Ann Arbor, MI; and his siblings, Betty Ball of Wilson and Brantley Futrell of Jacksonville.
