Idell is survived by: husband Johnnie Jones; children, Joseph Jones of Stella, NC, Ricko Jones (Elizabeth) of Raeford, NC and Acicelean Jones of Raleigh, NC; goddaughters, Tanngenia Humphrey of Rocky Mount, NC and Valeria Sims of Atlanta, GA; siblings, Maggie Mattocks of Hubert, NC, Rosa Foskey (Mark) of Pollocksville, NC, Zannie Cox (Mark) of Pollocksville, NC, Maggie Hill of Trenton, NC, Presley Hill (Glady) of Stella, NC, Joe Dillahunt of Maysville, NC, Willie Hill, Jr. (Halethia) of Pollocksville and Robert Hill (Yolanda) of New Bern, NC; siblings-in-law, Ella Chadwick (James), Mary Jones, Diane Simmons, Larry Jones (Triplene), John Jones and James Jones; and sisters, Vivian Medows, Melissa Burton, Donna Patterson, Nellie Mae Hunter and Carie Lee Hill. Idell is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews.
