She was predeceased by: her husband Howard Jones; her parents, Javi Morton and Dollie Morton; and her siblings, George Morton, Dr. Leslie Morton of May Kellum, J. C, Morton, Emmett Morton, Alma Rayor and Lois Belk.
She is survived by: her children, William B. Jones of Alto, John E. Jones of Athens, GA, Ava J. Morgan of Jacksonville, Howard K. Jones of Gastonia, NC and Dr. Emmett M. Jones of Jacksonville. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Onslow Memorial Park (3280 Richlands Hwy, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
