She was predeceased by: her parents, James Whaley and Connie Whaley Brown (Angie Whaley). She is survived by: her husband Rex Mathis Jr.; her sons, Casey and Jason Mathis (Olivia Mathis); her grandchildren, Nathanial, Warren, Emily, Sophia and Addison; her siblings, James Whaley (Maria), Chris Whaley (Rebecca), Vickie Whaley (Ronnie) and Ricky King (Peggy); and her sister-in-law Serina.
She loved her job which was running the drive thru at McDonalds during the mornings, she always said she loved being the first person some may have interacted with in the morning because you never know what someone was going through so be kind always, which she always did unless you gave her a reason not to, she also door dashed during and post Covid.
