We are sad to announce that on December 10, 2024, at the age of 68, Gideon Johnson Jr. of Jacksonville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Gideon may no longer walk beside us, their memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gideon touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In their absence, their spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

Gideon was loved and cherished by many people including: wife Sabrina Johnson; children, Caressa Johnson of Jacksonville and Willam Johnson of Jacksonville; and brother Elliot Johnson (Mona) of Greensboro.

Viewing was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Missionary Baptist Church (153 Broadhurst Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
