With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Earl Pope Davis Sr. (Jacksonville, North Carolina), born in Lumberton, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 1, 2024 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Rev. Donnie G. Davis (Barbara), Virginia Coleman (W. J.), Dixie Floyd (Sprunt), John Carl Davis and Bobby Davis; and his son-in-law Charles Pait.
He is survived by: his wife Volene; his children, Joey M. Davis, Janice D. Pait, Earl P. Davis Jr. and Julie L. Webb (RN); his grandchildren, Joey M. Davis Jr., Troy M. Davis, Charles Brandon Pait, Aaron M. Schmidt, Adam Schmidt, Ayla Volene Webb and Asa Webb; and his sister-in-law Grace Davis. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Munden Funeral Home & Crematory (2112 Arendell St, Morehead City, NC 28557). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 9:00 AM. A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Coastal Carolina State Va Cemetery (110 Montford Landing Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
