He was predeceased by: his parents, Damon Ray Lee, Sr. and Arlene Lee; and his sister Joyce Lanier. He is survived by: his wife Wanda King Lee; his siblings, Carol Avery, Jeanette Koonce and Byron Lee (Valerie Lee); his grandchildren, Mikayla, Michael Jr., Nathan, Nicholas and Nalani; and also, Larry Lanier, Michael and Viki Jenkins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Monday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church (4764 Gum Branch Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
