He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Gomez and Maria Covington; his stepfather Elmo Rutledge; and his siblings, Mark Rutledge, Donna Yokogawa, Tammy Rutledge and Pamela Castro-Humar.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Harocop; his children, Arthur Gomez (Lucy) of Dumfries, Louisa Thollander (Joel) of Austin, Ellanie Young (Brian) of Jacksonville and Bobby Gomez (Maura) of Woodbridge, Virginia.; his grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Benjamin, Christopher, Sophia, Victoria, Blakely, Genavieve, Vivian, Eliana and Juliette; and his siblings, Bill Gomez, Chris Rutledge and Linda Garcia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
