He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nichols and Mary Lucy Nichols; and his brothers, Randolph Nichols, Curtis Nichols and Larry Nichols.
He is survived by: his siblings, Lois Lee Boone of Seaboard, JoAnn, Cornelia Nichols Byrd of Baltimore, Mary Ann Smallwood of Conway, John Nichols Jr. of Murfreesboro and Raymond Nichols of Miamisburg, Ohio; and his friend Mildred Jenkins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
