She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Bernard Spivey and Lottie Futrell Spivey; her husbands, Arthur Baxter "Tenny" Martin and Charles Slade; and her siblings, Constance Wiatt, Margie Benson and Bill Spivey.
She is survived by: her sons, Arthur B. Martin, Jr. of Hampton, Lloyd "Marty" Martin (Deborah) of Jackson and William Edward "Ed" Martin (Margie) of Jackson; and her sister June S. Parker (John) of Greensboro. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Askew Funeral and Cremation Services, Jackson-Chapel. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jackson Community Church (206 Thomas Bragg Dr, Jackson, NC 27845).
