With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jackie Roosevelt Britt of Jackson, North Carolina, born in Sumter, South Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Britt and Cindy Britt; his wife Shirley Ann Wade Britt; and his siblings, Earnest Britt, Happy Britt (Pearl) and Daisy Joyner.
He is survived by: his daughters, Terry Hux (Monty) of Jackson and Rhonda Harrup (Brian) of Capron; his grandchildren, Tyler Hux, Courtney Hux, Braxton Harrup (Kelby) and Lindsey Harrup Adkins (Alex); his great grandchild Carter Adkins; his brothers, Louie Britt (Becky) of Georgetown, SC and Robert Britt (Jeanette) of Nesmith, SC; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Jones (Robert) of Jackson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
