He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Stiles and Edith Jordan Stiles; the mother of his children Peggy Beasley Stiles; and his siblings, Birdell Gates, Ellen Rankin and Henry Stiles.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Lou Hall Stiles; his children, Donnie Stiles (Lois) of Cullowhee, Jenny Holland of Bryson City and Terry Stiles of Sylva; his sister Dorothy Harbin of Gastonia; his stepdaughter Traci Franklin of Sylva; and his stepgranddaughter Jessica Orr of Clarksville, Tennessee..
