With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Conwell Spurgeon Duncan (Jackson, North Carolina), born in Farmville, North Carolina, who passed away on September 29, 2023 at the age of 96. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. J. M. Duncan and Estelle Price Duncan; his wife Shirley Davis Duncan; his siblings, J. Murphy Duncan (Ola), George Truitt Duncan and Helen Duncan Orrell; his son George Thomas Duncan; and his brother-in-law Thomas Lee Davis.
He is survived by: his sons, John Gilbert Duncan (Laura), Herman Jay Duncan (Deborah) and Joseph Conwell Duncan (Sherry); and also Cathy Slate of Galatia, NC. He is also survived by his 2 nephews, his 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
