He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Elsie and Carrie Patterson Lomax; and his siblings, Isabel Hartsell, Edna Lomax, Otis Lomax, Leonard Lomax, Charles Lomax, Elizabeth Tart, William Lomax and Roy Lomax.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Dewitt Lomax; his children, Lucinda Sullivan (Danny) of Raleigh and Doug Lomax (Kathy Denson) of Ellerbe; his grandchildren, Drew Sullivan (Claire), Challie Sullivan (Tony Guerra), Collin Lomax, Conley Lomax and Harrison Sullivan; and his great grandchildren, Sloane and Parker Sullivan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
