He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Newkirk (Stacey); his children, Eric M. Newkirk, Tiffani Taylor and Taryn Taylor; his grandsons, Andre Matthew Newkirk and Erik Ray Redmond Newkirk; and his siblings, Richard T. Newkirk, Bonnye K. Newkirk, Floretta M. Kelly, Chiquita Y. English and Carolyn B. McIntyre. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
