She was predeceased by: her parents, George Walters and Jessie Cook; her grandson Anthony Payne; her son-in-law Kenneth Evans; and her sister Sandy Owens.

She is survived by: her husband Earl Payne; her children, Tonya Lambert (Robert), Tina Evans, Anthony Payne, Kimberly McCaslin (Jay) and Erica Higdon (Timothy); her grandchildren, Dylan, Lily, Adrian, Kaitlyn of Megan, AJ, Victoria, Eli of Weston, TJ and Harper; and her sisters, Shirley Worley, Linda Canipe and Carolyn Henson.
