It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nesbet Lea Black Hovis (Iron Station, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on January 12, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Arthur Black and Ava Wise Black; her husband Robert Ernest Hovis; and her siblings, James E. Black of Cherryville, Sue Black Sneed of Cherryville and Katherine N. Black Wiegel of Cherryville.
She is survived by: her son Robert Corby Hovis of Arlington, VA; and her sister Betty Jane Black Robinson of Cherryville. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, and cousins.
