It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madeline Canipe Johnson of Iron Station, North Carolina, who passed away on October 3, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lero and Dollie Richardson Canipe; her husband John Daniel Johnson; and her siblings, Clyde Canipe, Ralph Canipe and Ilease Canipe Carpenter.
She is survived by: her daughter Renee J. Smith (Michael) of Iron Station; her grandchildren, Mitchell Smith (Kelly) of Iron Station, David Smith (Bailey) of Iron Station and Lindsey Smith Schronce (Phillip) of Lincolnton; her great grandchildren, Madison, Nathan, Lawson, Stetson Smith and Jackson Schronce; and her nieces, Carolyn Ferreira, Charita Clark and Kathy Gizowski.
