He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Buchanan and Delilah Buchanan; and his former wife Carolyn Johnson Buchanan. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Buchanan; and his children, Johnny Buchanan (Kimberly), Billy Buchanan (Kathy), Thomas Buchanan (Sonya) and Susan Buchanan. He is also survived by 6 brothers and sisters; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 4 stepchildren.
In lieu of flowers family has asked for donations to Pearl Baptist Church building fund.
