He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Richard Vogel and Eugene Whelchel. He is survived by: his parents, Chris Whelchel and Courtney Schofield; his wife Lily Whelchel; his sons, Parker Hayes and Landyn Grey; his grandmothers, Mary Inman and Catherine Whelchel; his stepmother Mitzi Whelchel; and his stepsiblings, Madison Knoll and Anthony Welsh. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
