He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Whitson and Ruth Whitson. He is survived by: his wife Pam Whitson; his children, April Poe, Shawn Whitson (Laura), Todd Bishop (Chrisie) and Scott Bishop (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Bryson Bishop, William Whitson and Ella Whitson; and his brother Dr. Michael Whitson.
