She is survived by: her husband John Wesley Nix; her siblings, Chuck Upchurch Jr., Jan Silver and Ward Upchurch; her daughters, Patricia Menhinick and Kathryn Gooding; her sons-in-law, Rev. Mark Menhinick and Rick Gooding; her grandchildren, Keith Menhinick, Wesley Menhinick, Dave Menhinick, Sage Ananda and Katie Gooding; and her siblings, Susan Hogg, Grant Upchurch, Julia Hill and Mark Upchurch.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Charlotte Rescue Mission or the hospice care of VIA Health Partners in honor of Tanya's life.
