He was predeceased by: his parents, John Busche and Mary Busche; his wife Mary Dale Travis; and his brothers, Eugene, Charles and Alvin Busche.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Sain Romaniello (Robert) of Murrell's Inlet, SC, Robert Ernest Busche Jr. (Cynthia) of Candler, NC, Sandra Martin of Charlotte, NC and Melissa Briers (Gregory) of Matthews, NC. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
