He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Patricia Gelpi; his children, Michael Gelpi, Carol Gelpi, Sasha Tomaszycki and Tiffany Zamora; his sisters, Ana Gelpi and Margarita Gross; his grandchildren, Christopher Gelpi, Adam Gelpi, Veronika Tomaszycki, Nathaniel Tomaszycki, Nikolas Tomaszycki and Grace Zamora; and his great grandchildren, Oakley Gelpi and Lilly Gelpi. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.
