It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marjorie T. Hartis of Indian Trail, North Carolina, who passed away on April 20, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John G. Tinker and Helen G. Tinker; her son Jeffrey Hartis; and her brothers, Richard Tinker and Tommy Tinker.
She is survived by: her children, Susan H. Hecht and Mark Hartis (Kimberly); her grandchildren, John D. Crofts, Jr., Brandon Crofts, Jacob Crofts (Sierra), Zachary Hartis (Ashley), Ashley Gildersleeve and Holly Hartis; her brother Terry Tinker (Diane); and her sister-in-law Mona Tinker. She is also survived by grandmother who adored her great-grandchildren, as well as her many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home - Indian Trail Chapel (4431 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church (3316 Pleasant Plains Rd, Matthews, NC 28105). A burial will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery (3316 Pleasant Plains Rd, Matthews, NC 28105).
