He is survived by: his wife Jenny; his daughters, Katelynn, Leanne and Ella; his granddaughter Selah; his sister Benita; and his mother Margaret Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“Jenny, we want you to know that we are thinking about you, Katelynn, Leanne, and Ella. We just found out about Scott's passing from Kim at Bark 5th Ave., and are very, very sad. It was a real privilege to know Scott, and we always admired him so much for going back to college and then getting his teaching certificate. That takes real dedication. Elaine and Jess Barbour .”
