She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Bernard, Sr. and Minerva Leff Bernard; her daughter Teresa Lynn Reed; and her brother Carl Clifford Bernard, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Debra Lee Norwood (Tommy, Jr.) of Waxhaw, NC and Billy Reed (Trina) of Lexington, SC; and her grandchildren, Lauren Yeakley, Brooke Rhoden, Tommy Norwood, III, Lee Norwood, Carsyn Reed, Kayla Reed and Carter Reed. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
